Provide administrative support to the Human Resources Manager and department. Answers general HR questions and inquiries and maintains employment records.
Day-to-Day Role:
- Follow and commit to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for safety, quality, production, efficiency, and service requirements
- Follow practices and processes intended to provide safe products that comply with appropriate laws and regulations, meet the company quality standards
- Follow and commit to safety and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
- Prepare, maintain, and ensure accurate digital and paper employment records related to hiring, payroll, timekeeping, work schedules, terminations, leaves of absences, transfers, and disciplinary actions or promotions.
- Coordinate, administer and support various HR programs/initiatives.
- Assist in carrying out policies and procedures throughout the HR department
- Research, compile, and analyze information
- Develop, edit, and proofread reports, letters, and other documents using PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and/or other software
- Prepare a variety of specialized and recurrent reports
- Provide friendly, prompt, and accurate responses to employee questions and concerns
- Communicate with employees regarding benefits or other program eligibility
- Compile, file, and maintain confidential employment information in accordance with company, state and federal law
- Assist in coordinating employee events
- May assist in conducting new employee onboarding/orientation
- May assist in supporting recruiting strategies
- Ensure a high level of confidentiality is always maintained
Core Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must possess all of the following:
- High school diploma or equivalent with at least two (2) years of experience in a clerical type position
- Ability to quickly learn technology and systems
- Microsoft Word skills to include the ability to create reports containing graphs and other intermediate functions (e.g. perform mail merge, insert table of contents)
- Microsoft Excel skills to include the ability to create spreadsheets and perform intermediate functions (e.g. create formulas, insert graphs, pivot tables)
- Microsoft PowerPoint skills to include the ability to create and generate presentations (e.g. add slides, insert an image, move and resize objects)
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, quality, and accuracy
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Math skills to include simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
- Ability to identify issues, compare data, investigate and resolve discrepancies
- Ability to interpret written and oral communication and apply information appropriately
- Ability to successfully prioritize, and organize projects, deadlines, and tasks with little supervision in both team and independent environments
- Demonstrate a minimum proficiency with the English language to ensure effective new hire training and ongoing communications about safety and quality issues
